¨Appointed position of assistant editor, Affiliate Societies, International Trombone Journal (August 2005)
The International Trombone Journal is the leading association for all things in the world of trombone. This Journal is the leading publication for the trombone community. My position with the Journal is over the ITA’s Affiliate Societies. Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working with the leadership of the Affiliate Societies and the ITA Second Vice President (in charge of international affairs) to prepare quarterly reports focusing on the work and activities of those Societies
  • Editing the completed reports for submission to the ITA Journal Editor for publication according to a prescribed schedule
  • Developing a network of contacts in countries not currently covered under ITA's Affiliate Societies program
  • Guiding the leadership of the Affiliate Societies and trombone activists in other countries​ to assist in the international coverage in the news, events, features, announcements,  program listings, and other areas of ITA publications

  • Regular contributor and reviewer – Online Trombone Journal
  • Featured forum moderator on the OTJ web site
  • Organized live chat sessions featuring members of the trombone sections of the US
  • Marine Band, Army Band and Navy Band. These sessions where attended by many young trombone aficionados and highlighted by the On Line Trombone Journal staff.
  • Articles published in the On-Line Trombone Journal on topics relating to choosing a music school, audition trends, over training, working inside the Washington DC beltway and marketability. These published articles were followed by discussions on the OTJ Forum board and scheduled live-moderated chat sessions.
  • Developed content and assisted with the organization of the Baylor University
  • Trombone Studio web site. www.baylortrombones.com. Established and active recruiting dialogue with young prospective students via numerous contact submissions through the web site.
  • Developed Texas All-State etude master class and mock audition day at Baylor. This is a significant recruiting event at Baylor featuring performances by the Baylor Trombone Choir, master classes, panel discussions and a screened mock audition to simulate the TMEA All-State audition process.
  • Assisted in the development and site design of the Baylor School of Music web site
  • Actively recruited and more than doubled the size of the studio within the first year to include many transfer students.
  • Regularly performs recitals, master classes and clinics both on and off campus,
  • formerly sponsored by the Edwards Instrument Company/Shires Trombones and
  • Greenhoe.
